Vi vet att produktion av skor kan påverka vår miljö negativt, och därför arbetar vi hårt och målinriktat för att minimera den negativa påverkan. Utmaningarna vi möter inom skoindustrin är många och komplexa. Vi tror att genom att möta dessa med öppenhet, fokus på utveckling och förbättringar kommer det att hjälpa oss att möta morgondagens krav.

Innan vi börjar arbeta med en ny leverantör eller fabrik gör vi en utvärdering för att säkerställa att leverantören kommer att följa våra riktlinjer och krav. Vi strävar efter långvariga leverantörsrelationer med leverantörer som visar särskild vilja och förmåga att arbeta med positiv utveckling i leveranskedjan.

Alla våra leverantörer är ålagda att följa etiska riktlinjer som ställer krav på arbetsförhållanden som lön, arbetsplatsens säkerhet, arbetstid och mer. Vi kontrollerar fabrikerna regelbundet, både med interna kontroller och tredjepartsinspektioner utförda av oberoende kontrollanter. Kontrollerna genomförs både med och utan förvarning.

Öppna listor

Vi var en av de första skoimportörerna i Skandinavien som valde att vara öppna om vår värdekedja, och redan år 2014 publicerade vi en lista över de tillverkare som tillverkar våra importvaror.

De senaste åren har vi sett en ökande fokus på konsekvenserna av tillverkning av läder till produkter för arbetare och miljö, och som nästa steg i processen publicerade vi vår garverilista år 2016. Denna lista omfattar leverantörer som Euro Sko Norge AS använder för tillverkning av egna varumärken. Eftersom leveranskedjan ändras från tid till annan för att återspegla företagets behov kan avvikelser förekomma. Leverantörslistan uppdateras regelbundet.

Vi har byggt starka, strategiska band med våra leverantörer så att vi med förtroende kan offentliggöra deras namn och placering. Vi hoppas att offentliggörandet av listan främjar delning, samarbete och hållbar produktion på ett sätt som kan förbättra arbetsförhållandena och ytterligare skydda arbetarnas rättigheter på fabrikerna.

Production

We know that the production of shoes can have a negative impact on our environment, which is why we work hard and purposefully to minimise the negative impact. The challenges we face in the shoe industry are many and complex. We believe that addressing these with openness, a focus on development and improvements will help us in our work to meet the demands of tomorrow.

Before we start working with a new supplier or factory, we carry out an evaluation to ensure that the supplier meets our guidelines and requirements. We strive to build long-term relationships with suppliers that show a particular willingness and ability to work on positive development in the supply chain.

All our suppliers are required to follow ethical guidelines that set requirements for working conditions such as pay, workplace safety, working hours and more. We check the factories regularly, with both internal checks and third-party inspections carried out by independent inspectors. Checks are carried out both with and without prior notice.

Our Code of Conduct is our most important ethical framework and describes expectations, obligations and requirements for how we should behave. Eurosko Norway's Code of Conduct can be found here: (link)

Open lists

We were one of the first shoe importers in Scandinavia to choose to be transparent about our value chain, and as early as 2014 published a list of the manufacturers that make the products we import.

In recent years, we have seen an increasing focus on the consequences the production of leather for products has on workers and the environment, and as a next step in the process we published our tannery list in 2016. This list covers suppliers that Euro Sko Norge AS uses for the production of its own brands. As the supply chain changes from time to time to reflect the needs of the business, departures from the list may occur. The supplier list is updated regularly.

We have built strong, strategic ties with our suppliers so that we can confidently publish their names and locations. We hope the publication of the list promotes sharing, collaboration and sustainable production in a way that can improve working conditions and further protect the rights of factory workers.
